Clearly his hiphop past is reflected in his mixing. I saw him do stuff I've
never seen a dj do before.
You've obviously never heard of/seen Terrence Parker or Jeff Mills then!

I hear ya, but Ben Sims is a good producer too. Being a good dj AND a good
producer is kinda rare but increasingly important if you want to be
recognised.
Yeah looping old tracks is difficult. (sarcasm)
Jeff Mills gets a lot of respect for his production though I don't think it's
all that
few things have been bugging me. following from this post can someone,
particularly alan, explain what can be done with doubles. When i have
doubles, you get that funny faze noise

or you can Eq different parts
of each. but what else can you do?
Your shitting me right?

My mistake before it is pointed out, I misread Bluespirit as Blueprint.
Although I'd probably buy a Blueprint record over a Bluespirit record any day,
well most days!
Although, if you haven't got 'The Divide' by James Ruskin your missing out!
i picked up bluespirit 2 recently. can anyone
Just a thought,
I'm not sure what anyone else thinKs, but I get really annoyed and feel
somewhat ripped off when an artist realeases an EP with only two tracks (the
two that broke the camels back today where the latest releases from Joey

I finally managed to pick this record up yesterday, from everyone's favourite

After hearing Derrick May cane this record and others, I finally tracked it

Appologies for the late post!
Last Saturday was the second time hearing Derrick May in 3 weeks, however i
preferred his set two weeks earlier at the Kozzmozz night!
I arrived as Mr. Bicknell was half way through his set, it was the usual thing
from the lost recordings star.
I was eagerly
I managed to pick up a track I had been after for a long time 'Wake Up' by
Laurant Garnier.
It's on the Early Works EP, which is from his forthcoming album. (Arcade
America 00669)
What a track Wake up, Wake up.
nice '94ish' 'acidy' bassline.

Slightly off topic request!
I'm looking to get hold of 'soundforge' (ex. sp.) or something similar,
enabling me to timestretch via my P.C.
Can you help?
I'll send C.D, pay for mailing etc. etc
I would be eternally grateful if you could help!

And!
For all those who haven't been to Small Fish Records, 372 Old Street, London,
EC1V 9LT, you really should! It has a lot of the old Fat Cat crew plus others,
the stock mainly comes from their personal collection along with stuff that
friends have given to them.
I was in there on Thursday, it
Wow, this shit's gonna be bigger than Episode 1!
It's great to see an event like this taking place, it's obviously taken some
time, effort and cash to prepare, I'm sure it was hard work!
Can't wait for the British leg of the tour(which is when, by the way?)
A little curious as to the line,

Has anyone decided (now that you have had it for a while) that the newer
Jeff Mills from Japan is *really* worth the $30 import price?
Question is are any of the recent Mills releases worth it?
I decided upon not purchasing Axis 19.5 but suckered into buying Tomorrow
001, both were thin on
last time I saw mills in detroit was at berlin 2. The lineup was.

Can anyone tell me what Mike Huckaby is up too, has/is he releasing any
records soon/lately?
Does he play out much, if so what's he like?
