I just bought a cheap ticket to Amsterdam ($390 R/T!)and wanted to get some
advice on any sights (besides the coffee shops;) that a 313 inclined visitor
might want to check out. Any suggestions?? Record shops, which hotels/hostels
are better than others, clubs/parties

Outland Records was quite cool last time I visited.
The Mazzo Club is ok ,but check the listings as they don't call
Techno, Techno,( stange!) so look for DJ's rather than nights

there. Pretty amazing gig by the sound of it, though it has been a

Another vote for Rush Hour. I didn't make it to Outland in time
(remember that shops in .nl have shorter hours than us Yanks are
used to) but have heard good things. Love the Outland record labels
over the years -- distinguished by the outstanding Dadara cover art.
