locked or unlocked.

I have to agree with what you're saying. We shouldn't forget about the
love of music and 'doing,' despite less-than-ideal moments. I do keep
trying, even though I go for long periods of being pissed off or busying
myself with other things, that itch never goes away. Once the semester
is up I ca
You guys talk about those 'everything is wrong, no respect gigs' --
but they have made up a large part of my 'career' as a DJ and live
performer.
My latest -- playing in Des Moines, in the game room of a coffee
house, with the lights full up, when the headliner was on the main
stage a block away.
Any DJ is eager to get out there and get into it. Unfortunately,
there are a lot of people who, unconciously or not, know how

Imagine your the promoter for the biggest nightclub in the city. Now
imagine that on a particular night, your headline DJ, who had asked to
play from open to close, calls to tell you he's going to be an hour late.
No big deal you say, since no one is ever
teehee, I feel your pain :) but hey at least you gave it a shot, you
never know how things like this turn out eh?
last time I played (was months ago) it was a gig setup by 'a friend' who
had played some of my CDs to his DJ friends at this club. they were all
into it (supposedly) and said tha

the ones that come to mind first, and intrigue me the most, are the nights

You're sitting at home with the wife (or significant other, could be a cat
as well if you are single and not "involved") eating dinner and about to
pop a movie in the player when you get a phone call.
It's the guys who run the local techno/dance night in the biggest room in
the city.
