I was held up for 20 minutes at Berlin Tegel airport for having a Zoom H4 Handy Recorder in my backpack. Even after turning it on, explaining it was an audio recorder, they still had to call in 2 levels of management to decide it was OK to fly with. I wonder if they changed the design on the H2 b

Zoom H4 should do the job. A nice thing with recording live/dj-sets is having a 4-channel recorder and use 2 ch for line and 2 ch for a condensor stereo mic to catch the aduience and room reflections. For that i would use either some portable 4 ch porta like Edirol R4 or a laptop with a 4-ch soun
