I played that. I recall there being a deep kind of Reese version of Direct me,

That Sasha remix does not come even close to the UR/ Negro / Reese mixes.
But I recall there being two records with Sasha mixes: a red one and a green

You mean Just Want Another Chance? If so, I'm pretty sure it was
originally released on Incognito. There are several mixes (no info given,
just track times), all of which contain the vocals to differing degrees. I
would be interested to hear the instrumental mix you speak of... ??
