i havent checked those threads out cuz im in chicago right now. but, what
i was mostly saying is that it would be nice to have sound clips OF the
mispressed tracks, and the PROPER minimal nation. so everyone knows for
sure which they have!

Yep - to my mind minimal nation and the vision ep ARE techno. I found
hearing them for the first time similar to hearing tubby or scratch dubs
for the first time - s spatial, really opens up your head.

I've just bought a copy of Robert Hood's Minimal Nation, and the two tracks
on side A of the first record produce quiet clicks on top of the music. I'm
not sure if they're arrthymic or rhythmic in a reasonably sophisticated way.

Minimal Nation was originally released in 94 on Axis Records (ax-007). It was
very typical of Hood at the time. He seemed to continue this Hood style
through most of the first Mplant records (With the exception of the first
Monobox release and the Hardwax records, even though the Hardwax stuff
