I recommend Markus Guentner's recent album on Kompakt, In Moll, though I
find his stuff a little dense even cloying in comparison to the Voigt
brothers' material in the swirly, symphonic mode.
For darker ambient stuff in the Gaseous mode, check out any of Thomas
Koner's solo releases, such as
Maybe Anthony Rothers stuff under his alias Psi Performer alias.

Pop Ambient is the most ambient of all the kompakt compilations.
Tobias Thomas released a mix cd on Kompakt that is very minimal called

Kitty Yo may posses some pop ambient in the darker vein, but not a lot.
Ware and Dial are both
