why not just output the whole 78 minute thing to the disk then open it up in
soundforge or something and cut off exactly what you need to... that way you
can even fade out the end so it doesnt just stop suddenly.. :P

to overburn the cd - i think generally you can get about 85 minutes on an
80 minute cd... a certa
a 74 minute cd can hold up to 76 minutes and some seconds of audio. you
*may* run into a greater risk of error but if you're using high quality
media (and you should be) there shouldn't be any problems.
