Hi all,
today, I tried out some vst instruments to start making some music.
Unfortunately i stepped into some problems, maybe someone could help me?
First of all. I installed the amd64 version of 64studio, as I didn' t
read enough to know, that 32 bit version might still be better when
using V

You can edit the parameters somewhere? What does it meant the parameters
are available?
You can't edit them like LADSPs and without the possibility to save
parameters? I guess this limitation is normal by using dssi-vst.

You mean the native linux vst stuff? I tried it out already. It's
working very fine. But i only found a few plugins: The stuff from juce
and some calf stuff. It's working really good! Are there more plugins

PS: An alternative might be to pay for sound samples that have a better
quality than those free soundfonts and GIGs. Most free soundfonts I know
come with a more worse or equal quality, the Roland MT-32 has got. If
you need e.g. stuff like an ARP emulation with synced step sequencer, I
guess th
Pardon I need to do a PPS:
I don't guess you need something like the East West stuff, choir that
can sing your lyrics or real orchestras and I guess you don't need
something like Absynth etc., if you should need stuff like this, than
you shouldn't use Linux ;). I don't need it :).

I do agree, while Rosegarden seems to be in a dead end, even if it's
still better than Qtractor. In theory MusE seems to be the best Linu

Wow .. sorry. It IS starting now. Don't know what the problem was. Maybe
some processes of several VST tries still are running and blocking the
sound system. Everything is fine qith Hydrogen now. Sorry for

Maybe you should backup your system relatively often. I'm using an 8GB
USB stick and always have 2 TAR backups of my 64 Studio 3.0
