I'll try again today, but I don't
like to run Fedora in general. Â I typically like archlinux these days, as
it's small and fairly sane.
Strange, I tried to compile p9p on the latest (9.10) Ubuntu, and no
success too.

Thanks for the patch,
I had to comment out
I'm using 9vx without problems on Snow Leopard. I never tried compiling.
I just copied over the binary when I upgraded from Leopard.

That sure makes a difference :-)
looks like you just have HZ set to 1000.
stats isn't counting on that.
How does one change that?

Hello!
When you are done setting up the system do not reboot right away,
rather reconfigure venti (via venti/conf) with small enough memory
settings. Then you can restart safely.

i wouldn't suspect that one would want to.
the higher clock rate allows more precise
scheduling. the extra overhead should be
unnoticable on a 2.6ghz processor, except via
stats.
also,
do you suspect the interrupt load is a problem, or
are you just bothered by stats?
The latter, I replaced the workstation hardware bacause of a power
supply fan failure and the most noticeable difference was stats'
behaviour.
In passing, has anyone looked at fixing the uneven width of the last
