seems a bit extreme to define a whole new voice for a few measures of

Unless I miss my guess, I think we are making the standard here. At
least hopefully the product of these long discussions will be
something accepted into the next version of the abc standard. It's
not against the rules to make
finish or reach another cue.
Eh, makes sense in my head. I'm afraid I don't quite have the details
worked out though. Cueing voices to start is easy, but when to tell
them to stop? Should [:n] imply that the voice stops and waits
for the music to reach [:n]?

Sorry, having a bit of trouble with the documentation. Does anybody
know how to do dynamics in abc, such as crescendos, decrescendos,
markings like forte, mezzoforte, and those nifty "alligator clips"
used to indicate short cresc(and decresc)endos.
