For the past ten days, youtube videos are not audible though I can see
the video. I have once reinstalled adobe flash player but of no use.
Also suggest if there are any other softwares which run with youtube
videos. Awaiting your reply.

It is not a jaws specific issue. You can go to Start Menu>Settings>Control
Panel>Folder Options and disable the option for hiding known file extentions
with any version of Jaws or even without it. To do this, press Control Tab
to land on the View tab in Folder Options, press tab to focus

Please check if "Hide extensions for known file types" is on in the view tab
in the folder options in the control panel. You can also get the folder
options dialog box from the tools menu in "My computer" or "Windows
Explorer".

I think JAWS script for IE7 should solve your problem. CUNY where I
teach for example has not yet upgraded to JAWS 9 and I still use JAWS
5 with IE7 without any problem. You may also consider downgrading to
IE6. In any case as a long term solution it is a good idea to upgrade

jaws 5 could hardly work with windows internet explorer 7 and higher.
I recommend you use jaws scripts for internet explorer 7 or upgrade to jaws 9
altogether!
