Which version of browser and NVDA that you are using. I just tested The
Hindu on latest NVDA + latest Firefox and works just fine.
May be try updating NVDA and that my resolve your issue.

labels and filters.
To create labels do the following:
1. open settings,
2. choose labels.
3. there is a box to type new label type access india.
4. press enter on create button.
To create filters:
