[AI] using in design and quarkxpress for layouts

Hello everyone, I'm currently doing a course in journalism, and I'll be required to work on software like Adobe In design and Quarkxpress. And I want to start learning them now along with the students, since there's time before I enter the profession. Has anyone tried working on these softwares?
