But it works fine on my laptop with almost the same OS and screen-readers.

It is a google form, we have not included any captcha. But to sign in Google
may bring up the re-captcha or the image plus audio captcha for some users.
It is not in our control, the captcha is brought up by google as per its
assessment of user behaviour.
We have already got a lot of registrations
the capcha only comes when google gets a lot of traffic from your isp.
