Hi, on two older machines (pre-2000 motherboards) reboot is possible, but poweroff is NOT. On is running XUBUNTU 6.10 Edgy Eft, which brings XUBUNTU back into play. The other one was running XUBUNTU 6.10 Edgy Eft, and is now running a fresh install of XUBUNTU 7.04 Feisty Fawn. So for me this is

To refer back to Morgan's post, I use Kubuntu Feisty and it doesn't power down but it restarts without a problem. It was the same with Dapper and Edgy, the only difference with these two was that there was a short click at the end. As far as I remember Breezy powered down and restarted normally. -
