I have the same problem on my Asus A6M notebook. On 2.6.25 kernel it work very
well, but on 2.6.27 and 2.6.28 I cant suspend to ram.

UPDATE
I have been able to "fix" the system freeze problem in kde 4.2 by uninstalling
the kde power manager "plasma-krunner-powerdevil".

Tom, the only difference between two patches is udelay(500) and
udelay(ACPI_EC_DELAY). ACPI_EC_DELAY is 500, so there is no difference --
