pps. ykzhaos patch fixed both problems for me: the high wakes were gone and the
cpu could use all C-modes and did use the right one.

The patch in #81 with workaround 1 from #82 also works. The C3 state is
available and used, just like with 2.6.27-vanilla as far as I can see.
