This should work:
strUserName = *INSERT NAME HERE*
Set objConnection = CreateObject(ADODB.Connection)
objConnection.Open Provider=ADsDSOObject;
Set objCommand = CreateObject(ADODB.Command)
objCommand.ActiveConnection = objConnection

There is a windows port of the standard NTP code available at
http://www.five-ten-sg.com/
And http://norloff.org/ntp/
I used the former on many servers back in the nt4 days with no problems.

Hi
everyone,
I was hoping I could
get some of your input, I'm in need of a few other people's perspectives on a
few products and was hoping some of you help me out. The topics I
need another's perspective on are -

product for / its key features in your world?

made me chuckle - you advise that I give up the one setting which was the sole
reason for posing the question :)
I am
not prepared to allow ADMs to be auto updated - this is too risky in a large,
global environment. XP SP2 has just been released with its own new ADM files.
Hi Devon
What happens when you run that command from the command prompt on your
local workstation. My first thought is temp1234 does not meet password
complexity but I would need to know the results of the command from the
command prompt first. I tried the command on my box and got the error
It works fine with that password.

Does anyone have a good doc on enabling the new 2003 SP1
Access Based Enumeration feature?
List info : http://www.activedir.org/List.aspx

Enabling it will require you to compile a C function into a nice little
command.
I plan to do so this weekend, completely forgotten about it.
This is one of the places that explains the process. Enjoy

We used xntpd on all our 4.0 domain controllers and had them at Stratum
2. It synched extremely well to our Stratum 1 systems and made it easy
to see the hierarchy throughout the internal time network from either
the W32 or *NIX boxes using the standard NTP stuff like ntpdate,ntpq,
ntpdc, ntptrace
So basically, for non programmers, Access Based Enumeration
is not an option at this point

That is correct. However, if I get the time to get this fixed this
weekend, I'll be happy to share it with you for all your experimental
fun.

That would be great..thanks. Being in the early stages of
migrating from Novell, this feature is very important. It
would be nice to at least test the feature without having to
try a 3rd party solution like scriptlogics Cloak.
Thanks

That is
you could also ask your friendly MS representative to contact the
product group - they have a nice little tool available to enabled access
based enumeration on tools. They're still thinking of putting a little
UI option in the share-dialog to enable this (which would make sense),

the "useless" feature of re-animating an object is meant to
be used with other tools which are used to store that extra data which is
missing in the tombstone. And that's exactly what these 3rd party tools do
(now that it's supported with 2003).
