Hi guys,We added a new branch office to our domain and they still have a lot of windows 2000 machines. Now I'm trying to enforce our Company desktop look and feel and ran into a problem. We load a logo thru GPO for our XP machines and it works as expected: %logonserver%\netlogon\background\logo.bmp
Hi all,Quick question, I've been asked the following and I'm not sure about theanswer. When a trust is created between domain A and domain B and a userfrom A logs on to a computer in Domain B. Will he recieve the User GPO's of
domain A?Bart
Nop it's not in the same forrest... We just created a Trust between them..
So it will not transfer if there not in the same forrest?

Hi all,
I just wanted some feedback on this project I'm working on from people
with real world knowledge.
We have AD in place with and OU structure. I've been asked the make
plan to implement GPO's in this organization. I was thinking about
creating a GPO for each application we want to manage
:
GPO_POL_C_Dept01_DefaultSettings
GPO_SWD_U_Site01_AcrobatReader
As I think of it: don't go crazy on GPOs. GPOs provide lots of functionality
but may also kill performance
Cheers,
Jorge

username : %Username%
Exchange: EXCH01.Domain.local
Now Everytime A new user logs on he connects to the correct mail
server without
Hi all,
I have what i suspect a simple GPO question. If I set the background
of the workstation thru a GPO does the Image file gets copied every
time the user logs on?
I did a small test by replacing the image by another image with the
same name and after a GPupdate the original cam back..
No it is not a remote management solution. It allows all your users
to run applications on a server instead of on there local desktops...
Practical example: You have 50 users you take a big server put
windows, ts citrix on it. You install your application 1 time on the
server. Then you can

Title: Account name as Common Name
Hi all,
Just a quick question I don't find on google at first site..
We are implementing AD on W2K3 and we want that the common name of the user object = the account name and not the first + last name..
Currently we create a user and then have to
