Tom,
we're using it here across our WAN links to replicate approx 400Gb of
Tiff files (for our workflow / imaging system) between 4 servers. It
works very well for our requirements, although we did have some fun
and games getting it all setup - we use it in a slightly different way
to the norm
Have you looked at http://cr.yp.to/docs/smtplf.html it might give you
some pointers as to what is wrong.
Do you have another SMTP server front of your Exchange server i.e
between it and the internet? If so, does the above page help?
Just a thought

Steve,
try right clicking My Documents and choosing Properties - change the
target to be the NETWORK version of the directory you want i.e.
\\fileservername\usershare$ and OK it - then right click again and
chose "make available offline"

Damm - you stole my idea - I was trying to work out the convesation
view in GMail - trying to find the end of the thread to hit reply at
the right "moment" - I'm sure it'll be brilliant when I get used to
it... :-)
Lookout is one of the best things I've ever beta tested. google

Darren,
thanks for the response - I know what you mean... we have
PST's used in places here - I have several because I, like you do not like to
delete stuff however, I'm happy with the fact that it's entirely at my own
risk and I do my own backups periodically (Now I

Does that cover it? If you have an Exchange Server, and
judging by your subject I'm ass-u-me-ing that you do then use the
Information Store - it's what it's designed for.. Centralised Backups,

there is an option somewhere (I think in the N/W card
settings) to allow the OS to power it off to save energy - there's probably an
associated reg key you could use to roll out the change.

As far as I can see - no our current Licensing server
is a 2000 member server (we're still a NT Domain...) so I don't _think_ there's
a requirement for a 2K3 DC... but hopefully the doc's I've just posted will give
the answers.

I really should use Lookout (www.lookoutsoft.com) to search before I
say I can't find things :-p
From the Sunbelt NTSYSADMIN list just last
week:
just a doco i found (http://download.microsoft.com/download/2/f/2/2f2dc861-d567-4492-ae88-81afafa2d08d/Terminal%20Server%20Licensing.doc) me
Mark,
I've read somewhere recently (although I'm not sure where
:-]) that you do require 2003 Licensing servers for 2003 TS but 2003
Licensing servers can deal with 2000 TS. I'll try and track down the article
if I can...

slap coming from here... :-)
As far
as I understand it - REPLMON looks at AD replication.. that's not the same
as replication of the contents of sysvol but I might be heading for a
slap!!

I've lurked on this list for a long time now - and it's been a real learning

they static?
If they're DHCP - then a script shouldn't be needed just
