I saw this in the past when I added an Auxiliary Class to the User class the
samDomain class. Removing this and reloading the schema resolved the
problem.

We are also a mixed enviroment and are encountering a similiar problem.
It appears Netware is more developed in that area.

I read a Microsoft TIDD stating that if you try to
open a browser and type ldap://mydomain.com
that this will not work. Any idea if this ever got fixed. OR does
anyone know of a workaround for people who need to search many ADs?

What DS level are you at on NDS. I did what you are
doing and had problems with certains E-directory levels.

OK, so if I collapse the Child-domains into the
parent and go with 1 domain with OUs seperating the users. Is there any
way to contain the users and make 99% sure they cannot attack a server?

Hello Everyone
I was at Comdex in Toronto last week and got talking to a Microsoft
Techie about how I want to eliminate the domain requirement when a student
logs into the network. He said you can do this by making the desktops sign
into the site they are apart of rather then the domain, any
you
can acheive both what your boss wants and what the students require. A UPN
login (username@forestname) will authenticate anywhere in the
enterprise. Ben

Well we have a college in 45,000 users across 5 campuses. What I have
doneis create a parent Domain where all of our servers site and then a
childdomain for each campus. Each child domain holds the user names and
passwordsfor the students and staff of that campus. Now for students
