I'm trying to set up a test forest with one dc.
i've set up dns and created a zone- test.com and allowed dynamic updates on
this server and had it point to itself for dns.
however, everytime i run dcpromo, i get the wizard cannot contact the dns
server that handles the name test.com
i'm
Personally, I find it easier to let dcpromo create the DNS structure for me.
Then again, I am lazy at times. :)

organic cpu cycles. We implemented the userdb function in our sendmail
relays and anything coming from me from the list is being rejected. It

I want to bring a Domain Controller server up in a newtwork with
pre-existing AD directory--but I don't want the two to ever meet. Will I
cause DHCP, DNS, LDAP, Kerberos, or other problems if I set the domain to be
