I think they're dependent more on the existance of and the rate of change of dynamic registrations. In my previous company, we were about 80% laptops, so I ran short DHCP leases, short DNS TTLs and scavenged daily. In a more static environment I'd lengthen those significantly. Roger Seiel

I should provide a little more information. All of my DHCP servers are in the DNSUpdateProxy group that you are referring to. The zone is an AD intergrated zone and only allows secure updates. The DHCP servers are also configure to update DNS instead of the client. All workstations are Windows
