OK - the Service pack is relatively easy. MS is now sending out Service
Packs with a deployment .MSI file as of SP2. SP1 required using an
external .MSI to deploy the SP. Take a look at this Q Article for more:

I would advise the use of logon scripts for deploying the hotfixes, you are
able to use a batch file and qchain to "link" the hotfixes so you don't have

Hehe - here is the kicker though. Group Policy software deployment doesn't
always work UNLESS you already have SP2. We ran into this in our test lab.
