Hi Heather,
I think you'll find that, as noted by a couple others here, unless it is a
conflict of interest, you probably won't find anyone levying restrictions on
external work. Legally, I think you'd have problems if you attempted too. If
its work totally outside of the scope of the school,
Good morning Meredith,
While we are still working on our central policy function here at the
University of Miami, ERM is something with which I am very familiar. We do

Hi Nicole,
So I have been at several institutions and all treated this a little

deposited into a University account or unit checking account? And the other I
have is, are you looking for guidance on when a department
Hi Lynda,

Amy,
While I haven't heard of issues of indoor use, these have become very prominent
with our athletes. I could see use in buildings being a safety hazard, not

Hi Heather,
Here at UM we are in the process of reworking our code, including where it may
land in terms of responsibility. At my prior institutions the Code of Ethics
actually was owned by the Board, as they too were governed by it.

Morning all,
At UM we are actually working on our policy process now and have a
representative from counsel on our policy task force which will likely also in
large part become our policy advisory committee. At my prior institution, we
had a mixed approach. One piece echoed Amy's in that senio
I should add neither did any of my previous institutions...two large public and

Despite the trend to not number, all three of the institutions I have worked at
