Thank you so much for Helping me get the ADSM server back to life. I had to
re-install the server with v 3.1.2.90. Everything runs OK except the central
scheduler which is configured to run as a service. After a while, it gives

One of my intrepid coworkers opened a case with Tivoli about this

I don't think this is a passwd file problem, as we get them frequently in
SQL-BT, and at this time the user has signed on. However I do think it
does have something to do with authentication. FYI we also get these with
SQL-BT for MS SQL server on NT.

We are looking into Connected to back up our mobile users when
they are offsite. I have only seen the one hour demo, but I was impressed.
The backup sends only the parts of files that are changed like the
subfile feature in tsm 4.1. C

Under WinnT, scheduled backups generally run under the System account. Any
USER account may or may not be logged on at the time backups are run. On
