Hi TSM experts! What do you think about the following errors below in the offline db backup log? Is it successful or unsuccessful? What could cause this problem? At the firt attempt the backup is unsuccessful and the 2nd retry semms ok. ---

Zosi, I would use caution with using the "selective" method. If the command fails for any reason after backing up some or all of the files, and then rerun - whether automatically or by person on standby or whatever, you will eventually start to reduce the number of versions of files that you keep

We are experiencing a similar problem here on SOME of our NT servers. Our solution was similar to yours. We are scheduling a reboot to work around a memory leak. To insure that the scheduling service starts we use AT to do: NET STOP 'TSM CENTRAL SCHEDULER' then NET START 'TSM CENTRAL SCHEDULER'
