Starting about 2 months ago, I've been unable to use Explorer for downloads
from the Tivoli website. I get a pop-up window (with Microsoft-type

the email address was not accepted. The FTP server here is

You should have in your server directory a file "ibmtsm.mac". This is
coded for the tivoli event handler, but can easily be chnaged for whatever
event handler you wish to use.

Have you tried q vol ORA052? If the library lost track of the tape TSM
would mark it as unavailable; to update it you'd need to type upd vol
ORA052 acc=readwrite (or acc=readonly if you don't want any more data

Not sure exactly what you're trying to accomplish, but it would appear you
have a single directory that you want to back up every day whether the data
changes or not, and keep copies of those file for a different period of time

If so, you can accomplish

I am still not clear where or when the use of DIRMC may have changed from what I
understood from the red book "Getting Started with TSM". In the red book example, a
separate management class pointed to by DIRMC in dsmopt of the client was created to

I'm no expert, but I'd say they were successful. I saw a post from someone
