Hi there, Eric, I have been talking to my HW colleagues and they have told me that, microcode is updated allways as Richard mentioned. Also, I do not even see a microchip replacement in order to update microcode. So, I think that, the best way is to call directly to IBM HW representative. Regard

STK L700 upgrade from 6 to 8 tape drives

We just upgraded our STK L700 library from 6 DLT8000 drives to 8 DLT8000 drives. When reinstalling the TSM Solaris device drivers it only recognizes 6 of the 8 tape drives. It recognizes 1 of the new ones and drops one of the preexisting ones. We verified that the tape drives where working from
