Dynamic management class will stop the retries. Y ou are probably getting the retries because your users are not logging off their notes accounts, and the backups should be ok for restore in that case. But with all potential fuzzy backups scenarios which is the risk with dynamic, you really need

Bill, I made this change a while back without any real problems. I just enabled collocation. It took some time but eventually my tapepool became collocated. Also, TSM shouldn't crash because it ran out of scratch tapes. Remember, if TSM runs out of scratch tapes it will find the least used tape
