Most likely is. For interest, here's some background from my notes:

Another possibility, maybe the rpm is corrupt. I don't know how

I have a client that did a mass apply of a Microsoft security patch MS03-045
to the TSM client. Most of them are at a 4.2 level, but I've seen this
happen to a 5.1 client. After the patch, the backups never complete. The
sessions start and the backpu proceeds, but then on the server we get

Under the processor licensing scheme, if a box is licensed for TSM for

You need to be root or Authorized user in order to run the scheduler. See
chapter 3 in the client manual, which discusses this.

Richard,
I heartily agree and have convinced management that it's the right way to
go. But we all can't do it. Until IBM starts shipping error free code,
someone has to find the problems.

Hi Jaap,
we have a similar situation to others on the list. My TSM server has a large

Depends. :->
- SCSI attached to AIX, you don't have to shutdown TSM. Only end tape
operations, put drives off-line and reboot the library;
- SAN based, library path on SCSI drive behind SDG. Same as above;
- SAN based, library path on fiber drive, TSM on windows. Reboot library,
SAN and windows.
Karel
Thanks for your response. I'll schedule a library reboot :-(
Did you just shutdown TSM Server, reboot library , restart TSM Server?
