Hi,
I´m not sure I will call it a bug.
It says Command Line Administrative Interface - Version 5, Release 2,
Level 2.0 which is the TSM client version you are were using before you
upgraded your client. Not server level which you get with 'q stat'.

Hi,
Never seen the BA client GUI being able to display the NAS TOC, but the WEB client
will do the trick.

Hallo TSM'ers,
I have a situation where it seems the subidr option is being ignored for

From the base TSM install dir I created the following directory

I am not aware of a cancel all processes. However, you can write a
script to do it. It would be based on the fact that TSM will tell you
all the processes that are running.select process_num from processes
will give you the process_num numbers that need to be canceled

Hi people,
Am attempting to create a backupset for one of our client nodes,
but am having a problem. I am using the GUI to do this. The problem is
that it doesn't seem to like the NAMETYPE parameter. Other than using the
command line to create the set is there anyway round this ?
I find you don't even have to check the tape in.
If this is the typical problem lots of people run into that can be cleared
by an audit,
all you have to do is mark the tape READWRITE instead of OFFSITE.
When I run the AUDIT, TSM realizes there is not really any data on the tape
and doesn't even

The version of TSM server that we are using is 5.2.20 and the operating
system is Windows 2000. In the actual help facility on the server, it
states that if you do not specify a filespace data from all the clients
node's backed up and active files spaces will be included in the
backupset.
I am in the process of doing an archive for the first time of a unix file system. The
entire node has done backups before, and this is the first archive of a single file
system. The file system I am archiving has about 100,000 files in it; however the
archive has been inspecting over

Lots of symbolic links?
Given that you've only got 100,000 files in the directory, and it has
inspected 3,000,000 files, I'd guess something is wrong.
I've seen Unix systems that have inadvertently gotten circular link
definitions, and TSM will blindly follow them over over again, showing
this type of behaviour.

In my experience, if it is trying to mount a tape, the tape must be mounted

Hello Everyone!
I am currently creating a new TSM environment and I would like to create a

I will have approximately 5 domains and I was wondering if it would be
wrong to put all 5 server domain directories in the disk

How you do your DIRMC is really an it depends answer.
Do you have your data segregated by domain? i.e.,

We have a small disk pool for the directories (200M is big for us), and the

a separate disk pool for Exchange backups (60G holds 4 exchange databases).
We put all these to one tapepool, and do a single copypoool that
