web client location restore?

Hello All! I am trying to use the web client to issue a restore for a NAS NDMP backup on a Windows 2000 5.2.2.10 client and an AIX 5.2 TSM 5.2.2.5 server. I drilled down to the file that I wanted to restore, but when I go to choose a specific location for where to restore the file it only allows

Go to the windows box where the TDP resides and do a Alt-Ctrl-Delete. If it's running as an application, endtask on the application name. If it's running as a service, endtask the service.  I'm not positive of the service name but it would most likely have dsm* something in it.   Zoltan F

Matthew, No cronned scripts (outside of TSM), I have a scheduled task within to cancel them at 6:55AM and again 7AM on M-F to ensure availability for users in case backups go long. Those are the only two 'cancel ses all' that were issued in the last 24 hours. No, nothing to cancel

They tend to fail after backups have been running a while, and I am guessing while my command script is starting up forceing backup from disk pools to tape. That sometimes seems to be a intensive procedure for TSM while it is starting up. I just have no way to prove it. :( -Original Message

Try looking at the ANR4391I message that are in the actlog during the expiration process. Probably need EXPQUIET NO in the DSMSERV.OPT file. It'll at least get you down to which node/filespace is using a management class, but not lower than that unless you're willing to query on the BACKUPS table..
