Hi, We currently run TSM server 5.2 and have customised the system for DR using SQL and korn shell scripts. Works o.k. We've recently been running low on Scratch tapes, and occassionaly i add bits of new scratch in five's sometimes ten. The problem i have been experiencing lately is when we eject

Hi Wil, Take a look at the activity log, some time before your checkout operation, and search for that tape number : you'll find out which process was using it .. I would suspect some reclamation process or too long mount retention for the devclass associated to your library. HTH. Cheers. Arnau

Robert, When you are doing virtual volumes like you are doing the virtual volume on the target server is actually managed as an archive object. Therefore, I would bet that the archive copygroup for that management class is pointing at the diskpool. Also, it is a good practice to put server nodes

Robert, You have a naming problem. Your storage pool name is I2000_server1, but your copy destination is sending it to a storage pool called I2000_postback! Update your copydestination in the archive copygroup of the default management class for the standard domain and I think that will fix it.
