Actually I believe it's so in the event of a system crash, the
contents of memory can be dumped to swap space for debug/analysis.

There are different ways, depending on the situation.
Is this something you want USERS to be able to do routinely, or is this
a 1-time thing you, the TSM admin, want to do?

They're not so far off base with that fear unfortunately. One thing I
will say is that the nw65os5a patch took care of most of the memory
related issues. Either way, they could still try sp5. Just be sure
that during it's install they select the option to backup all files
replaced. That allows
Troy & Andrew,
Thanks, It was recommended that our Novell client update to Netware SP5
along with the client upgrade
but due to problems with SP5 specfically memory issues they did not
feel comfortable with upgrading to
that service pack level.
I will look into the newer TSM client v5.3.4.

I agree with Troy that updating the Service Pack level, along with the major
sub-fixes mentioned, could help. I'm running 5.3.4 on a couple of NetWare boxes
and it has been fine so far.

Ok, db reorg is absolutely useless. Just don't, it's not worth the effort,
Would probably be worthwhile to try updating netware to sp5 , with
post-sp5 patches ( nw65os5a, n65nss5a). There's also a newer netware
tsm client out already, v5.3.4

Hello all,
We have experienced another Netware abend this again occurred at the
end of the restore. This is after we have upgraded the TSA's and the
Tivoli client to 5.3.2. Does anyone know when the next Tivoli client
updates
are due out and if this type problem is corrected.
Thanks for any resp

Been running TSM (ADSM) more than 10 years, more than 20 TSM servers,
DB sizes from 6 GB to 250 GB and
Actually, the "paging space needs to be 2 times as large as your RAM"-argument
was to get PhotoShop to run. This was seven years ago but it worked.

Hi,
include is equivalent to include.backup and include.file (see
TSM for Windows: Backup-Archive Clients Installation and User's Guide page 29).
Your include statement will include all files in directory h:\sql_dumpfiles\sql
that start with collaboration.
What you want is
include h:\sql_dumpfil
I didn't see any response to this so I thought I'd post again.
I'm trying to include "all files" in a specific directory that begin with
the work collaboration to a specific management class. The full name of the
file may or may not have more than just this word in it and the extension
may be di
