Hi
export DSM_LOG=/you_dir
in /etc/environment will fix your pb with log files...

Hi Eric,
Some files may be spread over multiple disk volumes
retype your move data command on the non-empty volumes and they will empty
automatically
Herve
PS: to check this, run 'q cont my_disk_vomume'. If you only have a few
files, it won't be a long SQL request

Hi Timo,
Instead of keeping your extra version for 365 days, have a look at the
Backupsets for the end-of-month-full backup.

Hi Zoltan
Check if your migration has been succesfully done. We have had this pb on
some servers where
the DSMAMENG.txt end the TSM1UTIL.DLL have not been replaced well.
Check this out. Be sure to install 4.2.1.15 and not 4.2.1.0

Gerald,
Upgrade your client to 4.2.1.5 and your scheds won't failed because of some
unsaved (failed) files..

Hi Bill
4.2.1 or 4.1.2 for your client ?
the RC=11 code is :
dsmrc.h:#define DSM_RS_ABORT_NO_STO_SPACE_SKIP 11
Do you have enough space in all your STGs ?

Hi Eric,
For your question, the answer is: ' dsmfmt -data ' creates a XX+1MB file
If your 36 GB disks are for disk pools, did you ever think about using RAW
devices instead.
Perfs are better because you have not the JFS overhead. In counterparse,
you need to migrate
you disk data everyday to
Wouter,
you do not need to change anything.
My TSM Servers have 2 Gigabit Ethernet adapters with 2 distincts IP@.
My TSM instance listen to TCP port 1500.

Hi TSMers
Does anyone have AIX 5L 5.1 iso files on a server that I can download.
I am unable to get it from my IBM VARs in France !
We have a big project coming up that requires TSM on AIX5L and we
would like to test it ASAP.
Thanx in advance
rv
License problems on 4.2.1.6 are only for AIX servers
