Are your storage pools, db volumes and log volumes on internal or external
disk?
I ask because if you're moving that disk to the new host, it can be much
easier.
I did this on 3/29, moving from an IBM RS6000 S7A to a P670, and it went
very smoothly.
Let me know and I'll post the steps and times I r
I second that. I went from 4.2.1.9 to 5.1.6.3 in exactly the same steps.
Went very smoothly. Didn't take as long as I figured, either with the
upgradedb stuff.
I have one, and I used it for my upgrade from 4.2.1.19. From there, I went
to 5.1.6.0, then 5.1.6.3. So far no problems!

I just had a dog-and-pony show yesterday about 5.1 update features, after

would be a "sysback-like" feature for Solaris (we asked them to check into

Part of our upcoming move includes moving from TSM 4.2.1.9 on AIX 4.3.3 on
RS6000 S7A to TSM 5.1.5.4 on P670 on AIX 5.2.
I've set up an instance of TSM at that level on the P670. Now I'm trying to
fathom the best way to actually move the database
over. I'm going to be dropping all the disk and tape
One note to correct. Below we selected round-robin rather than standard

Thanks again.

A little further research reveals that when you set up etherchannel via the

I am looking at upgrading VERY soon from 4.2.1.9 and based on the comments
in this group, I'd like to go to 5.1.5.4. I see on the FTP site that
5.1.5.0 is available, how can I get the upgrade that will take me to
5.1.5.4? (64 bit)
I'm sure this should be obvious, but I'm just not finding it.
Thanks

Has anyone set up Gig Etherchannel to a Cisco Switch?
We're about to test this with a P670 on AIX 5.2 with 4 (supported) Gig

The question from our Wan group in planning the switch changes is,
"Do we use PAgP or not?".
I talked with IBM, who didn't recognize that protocol. This tells

Get one from another working server, if necessary.
