Does TSM handle folder versioning the same as files? That is, if a user
clicks on a folder to get to a file in it is the folder updated such
that a new version is backed up?
I'm looking for a reason a GUI PIT restore wouldn't display a folder and
it's contents that were obviously there. I'm using D
plus the values in the files MC, but if
a folder gets backed up everytime it's touched then there probably
aren't enough versions data exists.

Is there a difference between inclexcl syntax on Solaris vs. AIX? We're
running into problems where the common excludes for Oracle files the
we've always used on AIX are blocking anything from the specified file
spaces.
Excl/u02/oradata/*
excl/u02/oradata/.../*
and nothing in u02 is getting
info and I'll see what I can come up with.

apply the latest tsa nlms (tsa5up6 isn't it?), currently they are 85.12
Dec. 12,2000 for nds and 5.03 Dec 4,2000 for 500.

Did you install the web client via the wizard? The initial install doesn't
do it by default. Go to Utilities/Setup Wizard from the menu bar and
install, or check your services panel to see if this service is installed
and started (and set to automatic).

The last correspond to ANE4007E messages (access to the object is
denied) on the TSM Server, yet the accounts used should prevent that.
TSM server level is 4.1.4.2 on OS/390
Any insight appreciated.
