Exporting TDP backups

Does anyone have experience with exporting and importing a node that uses Oracle or Sql TDP for its backups with TSM 5.2.3? Have you had success restoring the imported data? Is there anything special you had to do? Karla Ross

Need help with select command

I am trying to find the tapes needed to recover only the active backups of a client. I used the following select command and it gives me a list of all tapes for all backups of that client. How can I narrow the search to just active backups? select volume_name,filespace_name from volumeusage

stopping active backup sessions at a specified time

that they are still running? Karla Ross

Performing Full Client Backups with TSM

I read this process on the IBM web page, my question is, my customer wants different retentions on weekly full backups, monthly full, and daily incrementals. Whats the recommended way to do this with TSM? Karla Ross

TSM V5.2.2

We are getting ready to install a new TSM server running on AIX 5. I wanted to install TSM V5.2.2. Is anyone running this version, and if so do you have any comments, issues or tips?

Does anyone know if there is a TDP for oracle that will run on Linux redhat interprize AS 2.1? Karla Ross

Select command to q client name and version

Does anyone have a select command that will show me the clients and what version of TSM they are running? My TSM servers are running TSM v4.1, 4.2, and 5.1. Karla Ross
