Hi guys!
Just to let you know and so it's documented in the ADSM-L archives: I received
an answer from IBM Support that there is no RHEL5 package for JBB out of the
box. If you want it you have to compile it yourself...
I still find it very strange that IBM creates a distribution for RHEL 5 and

Hi TSM-ers!
I'm trying to install the 7.1 TSM client on one of our RHEL5 servers but I
receive an error during the dependency check for one of the rpm's:
rpmlib(FileDigests) is needed by TIVsm-filepath-7.1.2-0.x86_64

Thomas,
The statement about journal based backup not being supported on Windows
2003 servers has been corrected in the 6.2.2 version of the manual. The
statement now reads:
Journal-based backup can be used for all Windows clients.

Does anybody happen to have a copy of the Journal Based Backup FAQ they could
send me?
As I recall it was very useful.
It is still referenced many places on the support site, it used to be
swg21155524, but that link is broken now.
Thanks

I know journalling is now available on AIX, and has been on Windows for a

can somehow take advantage of the NSS filesystem journalling feature in
Netware?
Thank you very much

Hi All,
I have client that I have been backing up for a long time.
I had enabled journaling about 10 ten days ago for the first time.
I am now wondering if I should have done a selective backup soon
after enabling journaling. !
I am hoping a selective backup wasn't necessary then or now,
