Hi,
I'm trying to backup mountpoints on a Ubuntu 16.04, mounted as Cifs share.
Use of option DOMAIN or VirtualmountPoint in DSM.SYS or DSM.OPT is ignored.
The error, when domain is used:

Three potential problem areas occur to me.
The first is an incorrect DNS configuration, suggested by the
'unknown host' messages from ping. If ping cannot convert the
DNS name of the server to a numeric address, the TSM client might
not be able to either.
The second possible issue is that many

Thomas Thanks,
We can eliminate the second issue below, thats my fault I actually
posted the dsm.sys file (not the dsm.opt) sorry
The second possible issue is that many of the lines you describe
as being in dsm.opt are supposed to be in dsm.sys under Linux or
Unix.

Good luck,

Zoltan - I don't believe we've yet heard whether there is supplementary
information to be had in the client dsmerror.log and/or the
TSM server Activity Log regarding this terminated session. I suspect
that the Aborted is a
problem here on AIX4.3.3 recently, it turned out to be
an AIX specific issue.

I am having an Issue with my Linux backup.
Soon as I start the backup, it instantly completes.
When I try to see the filesets backed up there are
none. It appears as if the server does not recognise
the linux filesystems.
In the dsmsched.log there's a message indicating

Hi Lindy,
unfortunately the attached data was not delivered. Could you just resend your message

Just some hints on Linux backup:
- check environment variables. Did you export the right settings?
- check the TSM servers log. Get the actlog console on your screen
