Is there any way to diagnose why the backup storage pool process is
stopping/hanging at 1 file? I don't see any errors anywhere, either in the
activity log or in the tape library. If it at all possible,is there a way t

Is this really a good answer? I know it's "working as designed", as IBM is
sometimes fond of saying. TSM knows whats on what tapes. It seems like,
unless the processing required to do it would be substantial, TSM could
split the processes so this doesn't occur, at least as often. With

Hello:
I have two "backup stgpools" running and one of them is waiting for the
tape being used by the other. I have seen this error before and it will
resolve itself eventually when the first one finishes, and the second
one gets the tape it is waiting for. But it does cause a delay. I

Hi,
The 'Preview' figures do not correspond with the 'real' figures for Backup
Storage Pool
Preview says : 114,162 items and a total of 539,509,750,755 bytes
Real figures are : 132,398 items and a total of 607,194,421,718 bytes
Anybody knows an explanation for this ?

Gene - First off, a TSM rule is that only Copy Storage Pool tapes should
go offsite, not Primary tapes.
