It's fairly well documented that MOVE DRMEDIA will execute CHECKOUT LIBVOLUME

Is it documented anywhere if MOVE DRM will execute CHECKIN LIBVOL commands?

Greetings.
We'd like to have an operator do all the moving-tapes-in-and-out stuff.
The Operator privileges are almost sufficient, except for the
CHECKIN LIBVOL command :-(
For that, we seem to need Storage privilege; but that's far too
much for safety. How can we grant our operator th

Hello All!
I know this will seem like a very unintelligent question, but I am in a

If that happens (having a tape in slot where another tapes belongs then
tsm will take the drive offline and you will have take the tape out of
the drive by hand. This is probarly not what you want. You could do a q
mount, get a list of the mounted tape and with a query libv see in which
slots these

Hi Andy,
Usually the checkin script does run on the server. In some instances, we
also have a set of administrative scripts and programs running from another
system, and we group all of those together to mak

Checking in the tapes through an I/O station (search=bulk) does require
that a reply be issued to a request. However, for many of our custome

If you're loading tapes into the I/O station, you'll have to run the request/reply
process to check them. The search=yes

I just upgraded my test server to TSM 5.1.1. I can't say I ever noticed this

in 9 scratch volumes separately so I could watch all 9 processes finish. The
first 6 I purposefully use checkl=yes to force mounts on drives to
