I am not understanding the meaning of pending and full ? where i can get
something to read on it.

Pending means it is empty, and the duration of the pending status, before changing to
empty, is decided by the setting of reusedelay. The purpose of this is to retain
volumes for a fixed set of time in case you need to get files from them.

the volume is being held for the number of days specified by the
"reusedelay' parameter of the storage pool def

After a volumes comes empty the volume change his status to pending
if reuse delay is defined on storagepool.
You can delete the volume for reuse.

A change in the reuse delay setting will not effect tapes that are already
in pending state. If you need the tapes back immediately, you could delete

I used tsm client 5.2.2 to restore the DB2 database, it told me successful. When I
opened the table, there is a message:

Check for message ANR1341I in the Activity Log. Based on the times in our
log, it appears to be an hourly check that is done.
Eg. Tape becomes pending on Oct 25 at 12:05, becomes Scratch on Nov 1 at
