For a FTTH install we charge $249 and include the first 125ft, $0.50 per
foot beyond that. The cable is about 0.13 a foot so that covers our costs
on most drops unless things get really tricky.

We've had guys climb through a small cloud of them once (paper wasps I
think).. We've caught a few and they all seemed to be male (no stinger).
I think there may have been a few females, but they were too busy doing
their swarming thing, and didn't bother the climbers at all.

I forgot that the ATA can't auto answer, it would need some way of
putting the line on/off hook external to the ATA. A VoIP Phone with
audio input jack might be the best way.
