I will also relate what we did in our kitchen. Our kitchen had two recessed fluorescent lights that consumed about 160 watts total. We replaced those with 9 recessed LED lights that consume 60 watts total. So we save about 100 watts if we run them at 100% power; which we rarely do. The LED

I just replaced over 300 T8 bulbs with LED ones. I was able to leave the ballasts in place, so these do draw a little more than 100% LED fixtures, but I calculated the ROI to be about 5 years. These are the ones I used:
