Also affected by this bug, the first time I tried to reproduce the
launcher was not drawn at all until I moved my mouse over the area. I
then switched to the guest account and back and the system locked up and

I am sure I broke Liferea when I tried to feed it a configuration file
from a newer version a while back.

for my HP laptop, and when I rang MS I
got told it was HPs problem. Unless you have the time and patients to
take this as far as possible and you document you removing XP etc. then
unfortunately I doubt you are going to get far.

has no effect on the matter :(
As for what do to with the copy of Vista I like the idea of donating it
to an ubuntu dev who could make use of it or selling it then donating at
least a portion of the profits to FOSS.

if I have to install windows next
to a previous ubuntu install or if windows needs reinstalling and
overwrites grub.
The other option is to run windows inside a virtual machine within
ubuntu. If you plan to do this then I recommend VirtualBox.
