A similar bug shows up in a Natty i386 server install. Granted the
problem is upstream and if you let it time out or press space you get to
a usable screen but I just had a student beat this one into submission.

This installation got even worse as keyboard bindings eventually caused
the 2 key to switch DVI output to a mode my monitor would not support.
You could work for a few minutes by resetting keyboard in System
Preferences Keyboard.but eventually typing a 2 would hang the system
display.
