latest version of the Soundlink Mini, not the best sounding Bluetooth speaker
out there but for the size the speaker packs in a lot of puch.
If you want to go
Try Jam Plus or Jam Box; at least the Jam Plus talks when you power it
on, it tells you the battery status, when it's paired and pairing to the
iPhone among others. Good luck!
