Hi, I get this error when compiling alsa-lib-0.9.0beta8. I have
alsa-lib-0.9.0beta6 compiled, installed and working fine

Oh, right. I forgot that the card works like that. Thanks for pointing
this out. There is a computer show near me on Saturday, so I guess it's
time for a 1Gig machine! I am guessing that CPU
So here's the question:
I noticed that the 0.9beta8 is now available. I am successfully using
0.9beta7 on an SBLive card with kernel 2.4.9 (with low-latency), although
I haven't tried full-duplex yet. Is it worth it forme to upgrade to
beta8? Is the latest version more stable or lower-latency (
That's great. Glad I could help.

Hello,
I've been trying over a period of months to get reliable operation of
alsa on an HP Omnibook 5500CT. I'd like to use this system as the
playback for .mp3 files stored on another system on my network. I've
updated everything I can think of, and the problem is pretty much
unchanged. I starte

As I haven't been able to find any more immediate means of help (other
than the mailing lists), I've decided to register #ALSA on the Open
Projects Network.
I am under the impression that there are no "official" IRC channels, but
perhaps this one could be it. I've asked around many a times about

Kernel 2.4.10, GLIBC 2.2.3.
I run into the following problem with alsa-lib 0.9 beta7:

/bin/sh ../../libtool --mode=compile gcc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I.

I was trying to compile alsa-driver 0.5.11 on my linux box running kerner version
2.2.17 (from a debian potato install). I suddenly got an error message something like

I have no idea and I can't see anything obviously wrong. Only helpful
thing I can say is that I have an i810 working well with ALSA
